#ExploreKentucky: Experience one of Kentucky’s raddest ecological gems, Blanton Forest State Nature Preserve. The preserve is located adjacent to Camp Blanton and contains an old growth forest, a pristine stream system, scenic views of the surrounding mountain range, and wondrous geological formations. WHAT TO BRING: Water (especially on hot days), snacks, camera, binoculars, and a headlamp or flashlight for the hike back down in the dark. Please remember to take away what you bring in.

HIGHLIGHTS : Knobby Rock, The Maze, and Sand Cave.

TIPS: Stay on trail - State Nature Preserves have strict rules as preserves contain sensitive ecosystems. Be out before dusk. Spend as much time as possible taking in the view on Knobby Rock.
