National Geographic Magazine and the good folks at the Kentucky Great River Region Organization are hosting a public forum tomorrow at Columbus Belmont State Park in Western Kentucky tomorrow at the park's meeting space.

National Geographic is creating an online interactive map of places to visit along the Mississippi River which includes the river counties of Ballard, Carlisle, Fulton, and Hickman.  They are seeking to engage the general public to share their favorite places to explore, shop, eat, and stay in those counties. If you head out there, we strongly encourage you to explore the park; it is a National Trail of Tears site, part of the Civil War Heritage Trail,  and has scenic vistas of the Mississippi River.
