EKI x Kentucky Natural Land Trust's Blanton Forest Guided Hike Weekend

Description:

Explore Kentucky Initiative is excited to partner with Kentucky Natural Lands Trust to host a guided hike at Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission's Blanton Forest State Nature Preserve led by the KNLT's Stewardship Director, Preston Lacy and The Explore Kentucky Initiative program staff, Carolyn Sexton. This incredible hike features the largest old growth forest in the state of Kentucky, with trees dating to the late 1600's! Blanton is also home to scenic overlooks, soaring cliff lines, rock shelters, and pristine mountain streams that contain the Blackside Dace, a threatened species of fish.
